  • WHO’S YELLOWBELLY?

    We’re a group of photographers specialising in portraits and headshots.

  • WHERE DO YOU TAKE PHOTOS?

    Our shoots take place in our lovely studios at Mare Street Studios, Hackney & Industry City, Brooklyn.

  • HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?

    Package 1 is 1hr & Package 2 is 1.5hrs.

  • HOW MANY PHOTOS DO I GET?

    With package one, 3 final edits & with the package two, 5 final edits.

  • CAN I HAVE MORE THAN THAT?

    Absolutely – any extras are £30 each in UK and $50 each in US.

  • CAN I HAVE UNEDITED IMAGES?

    Afraid not – we don’t give out unedited/raw images.

  • HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECIEVE THE PHOTOS BACK TO VIEW?

    You will receive your gallery of photos within 24hrs (usually later the same day/evening)

  • WHEN WILL I GET MY EDITED PHOTOS?

    Final edited images will be delivered within 14 days of us receiving your selection/payment for additional shots, if applicable.

  • CAN I HAVE THEM ASAP?

    Yep! We offer an express service for £40 ($60) where you will receive the images 2 working days after the payment is received.

     

  • CAN I BRING SOMEONE WITH ME?

    We find from past experience having more than one person in the studio can be distracting. So they’re more than welcome to wait for you downstairs in the cafe.

  • IS THERE WHEELCHAIR ACCESS?

    Yes

  • IS THERE A TOILET THERE?

    Of course – in the cafe area when you arrive & also on each floor where the studios are.

  • WHAT ABOUT COFFEE/FOOD?

    If you have time to spare before your session or simply fancy a nibble afterwards, the wonderful cafe is open Mon-Friday. In our NYC studio at Industry City, there are over 40 restaurant’s, cafe’s and bars.

  • HOW DO I PAY?

    Within 24hrs of making your booking, we require a £30 ($100) deposit via stripe payment. The remaining balance is required 72hours before your shoot.

  • HELP, I’M REALLY NERVOUS!

    Please, don’t be! All our photographers are actors themselves so they know just how you’re feeling – they’ve been there before and know exactly what is needed for a chilled, fun shoot.

  • CAN I HAVE MORE THAN THAT?

    Absolutely – any extras are £30 ($50) each.

  • WHICH PACKAGE SHOULD I GET?

    This is totally up to you and how many final edits you’d like and how many looks you want to do. If you are wanting to multiple hair/make up changes, then we’d recommend Package 2 so you aren’t rushing. If you’re planning on shaving mid shoot definitely go for the premium – no one wants a rushed shave!

  • HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECIEVE THE PHOTOS BACK TO VIEW?

  • CAN I SPLIT MY PACKAGE OVER 2 DAYS?

    Absolutely – we offer a custom packages – contact us for pricing.

  • DO YOU DO OUTDOOR AND INDOOR SHOTS?

    We only shoot indoors at our studios.

  • DO YOU SHOOT NON-ACTORS?

    We do indeed. Whether you’re a comedian, casting director or want more of a corporate shot for your job/business – we’ve got you covered.

  • CAN I CHAT ABOUT WHAT I WANT TO ACHIEVE FROM THE SESSION?

    Definitely, at the start of each session you and your photographer will have a good chat to make sure you’re both on the same page. Also throughout the session, your photographer will show you what the photos are looking like to make sure you’re happy. It helps if you bring references of shots you like from our website/instagram. Then we can work together to achieve those looks.

  • ARE THERE FACILITIES TO DO MAKE-UP/ HAIR?

    We advise to come to your shoot with your makeup and hair done, however with the wonderful, unpredictable weather we’re aware sometimes you may need to re-touch etc. Within the studios there are small changing room areas with a mirror for this. You can bring a make up artist with you, but please bear in mind, that our package shooting time, is for shooting so any make up will need to be done before the shoot and they can do touch ups throughout the session.

  • WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO RESCHEDULE/ CANCEL?

    You can reschedule ONCE up to 72hours before your shoot without losing your deposit. Deposits are none-refundable. If you cancel within 72hours a new deposit will be required. If you cancel within 24hours of the shoot you will lose 50% of your total session fee. If you cancel on the day of your shoot, the full fee will be charged.

  • Can I request a re-edit of my final images?

    Our editors will apply the distinctive YellowBelly style, as showcased on our website and social media (which we hope is one of the reasons you chose YB). We will also strive to follow any specific instructions provided by our clients when submitting their preferences. If clients request a review of certain elements, we will re-edit them once at no additional cost. Further re-edit requests beyond this initial revision will incur a fee.
